About
In August of 2014, I started baking challah weekly with my three-year old daughter. Hands-on and fun, it connected both of us to an age-old tradition. First, we baked only for ourselves, but then started giving some away to our friends and family. Finally, we began giving to the wider community, including neighbors and an eldercare facility down the block.
It felt so good to first make fresh challah and then give some away that I decided to challenge myself to "Challah-it-Forward" for a year, baking with my daughter and then sharing part of our Sabbath bread.
Welcome to this site, where I am chronicling our experiences and perhaps inspiring others to give it a whirl.
Thanks for visiting!
